We are a tiny but passionate, family-owned, independent book publishing company. Tribus Press was founded with a passion for inspiring a lifelong love of reading and promoting thoughtful engagement with digital media. Our journey began with a vision to create a publishing house that values creativity, imagination, and intellectual curiosity.

Our Team
Tribus Press is a collaborative effort led by Christopher Carroll, his wife Emma, and their daughter Simone. Together, we combine our experience and passion to produce engaging and meaningful literature for readers of all ages.
Christopher Carroll, the founder, brings a rich background in sociology, holding a PhD from Northwestern University with a specialty in cultural sociology. His past work as a sociology researcher, writer, and professor has equipped him with research and publishing experience in socialization, culture, social psychology, and an understanding of the importance of stories and myths for individuals and communities. He has worked with several literacy organizations and nonprofits and is passionate about child development. He is thoroughly enjoying his current career as a publisher and author and brings these past experiences to his current work.
Emma Carroll, currently an oncology research pharmacist, has an educational background in biology and child development, contributing her expertise in understanding complex subjects and making them accessible to a wide audience.
Simone, our imaginative six-year-old team member and writer, loves art, illustration, and creating new stories, adding a fresh and creative perspective to our children's books.
Publishing Focus
At Tribus Press, we publish a wide range of books, from imaginative children’s stories to thought-provoking adult fiction. Our catalog includes works that spark imagination, encourage empathy, and promote freedom of thought. We are particularly proud of our publications "Winnie-the-Pooh and the Honey Jar Mishap" and "The Eternal Song," as well as other unique titles that resonate with readers.
Community Engagement
We believe in the power of community and strive to connect with our readers and authors through various initiatives. Our Read More, Screen Creatively movement aims to encourage people to read and write more through our Tribus Book Cart Initiative and social media accounts, encouraging young readers to share their reading and writing adventures. By fostering a vibrant community of readers and writers, we hope to inspire a culture of creativity and intellectual growth.
OUR MISSION & VALUES
At Tribus Press, our mission is to inspire a lifelong love of reading while encouraging mindful engagement with digital media. As a family-owned independent publisher, we cater to readers of all ages, fostering creativity, intellectual curiosity, and empathy. We balance traditional publishing with digital innovation, encouraging young people to Read More, Screen Creatively.
Rooted in the timeless charm of classics like 'Alice's Adventures in Wonderland,' 'The Chronicles of Narnia,' and 'Winnie-the-Pooh,' we aim to spark imagination and wonder in our readers. Additionally, we draw inspiration from both classic and contemporary adult literature, including works by Fitzgerald, Shelley, Bradbury, Orwell, Huxley, Baldwin, Steinbeck, Murakami, Morrison, Alice Walker, Maya Angelou, David Foster Wallace, and Atwood. Our approach is informed by existential philosophy, emphasizing the creation of one’s own values and the freedom of thought.
Our commitment to literacy and critical thinking drives us to promote high literacy rates among youth and encourage critical and innovative thought in adults. Through community initiatives and a robust social media presence, we aim to build a movement that celebrates reading and writing. Join us in our journey to make reading a joyous and creative experience for everyone.
